Cairn University selected High Construction to perform renovations over three phases and totaling 23,431-square-feet in various areas throughout the Smith Administrative Building, located in the center of campus. The first phase of the project involved extensive MEP and space planning upgrades in occupied areas during a narrow window of summer construction. High Construction provided budget control leadership and significant support services throughout preconstruction and delivered an outstanding finished product. The 3,900-square-foot renovation project, which was located on the second floor of the existing three-story building, included the following areas: 17 offices, kitchen and break room, reception area with new counters and cabinets, conference room, new Men’s and Women’s restrooms, upgraded existing door hardware, new mechanical systems throughout including main building boiler and rooftop units, new lighting throughout, new finishes throughout. In the second phase, High Construction renovated approximately 11,031-square-feet of offices, meetings rooms, and administrative space on the first floor of the Smith Administrative Building. Project highlights include 26 offices and a student welcome center/admissions office featuring well-lit and inviting refreshment and seating area, 3 meeting rooms, and 3 offices. For the third phase, High Construction renovated 21 offices totaling approximately 8,500 square feet.
